does the screen on the touch go off when you are trying?

Make sure to turn the auto-off off. Its in the general menu in settings. Other than that, disable any securities on your router.

This happened to me also, using the jailbreak.bat method.
Try using Touchfree...it worked like a charm for me.
But if you're already using Touchfree and it's doing this, I can't help so hopefully someone else can!

    that my help

    Hi
    I had the sambe problem.
    So
    1. I turned off all passwords in my router
    2. I went to my ipod an made a Reset (Erase all content and settings)
    3. After that the ipod restarted. Now I connected the Ipod with my pc (running on vista)
    4. I started Itunes an there I made a Restore for my Ipod an downloaded the new Firmware
    5. After all that I Restarted my Ipod and tryed the jailbreak again and it worked.
If you use a win xp i've read you should install net frame work 3.0

    I hope that helps.
    Greetings
(p.s. I sorry my english might be bad but that's the english I've learned at school)
