FAST how to extract recordings from isaidwhat app

    ok i got some recordings that i want to save on my computer from isaidwhat app. I dont have a clue on how to get them. I know their in a folder somewhere in ssh just not exactly where. Anyone help me out fast?

    well, the app only has access to its sandbox, so finding a file, if it exists, won't be too difficult. navigate to /var/mobile/Applications, and look through each of the random directory names until you see that app in question. then, there are a few directories which may or may not contain the files you seek. I don't know anything about this particular app, and it's possible that the recordings may not be in a "typical" music/sound format.

    i dont need it to be in the correct music format, just need it so i can put it back in after im done restoring.

    in that case, just transfer purchases and backup in iTunes before restoring. to be safe, though, you can just grab the entire random-named directory that contains the app and its sandbox.

    If you backup your ipod, then it should have the recordings after you restore.

    for security reasons, apps can only access files in certain directories. each app has its own documents directory (where you'll usually find game save and other files), preferences directory (where NSUserDefaults writes its plist), and a temporary directory which is presumably cleared after a reboot.

    so could i just copy the media folders, restore, and put them back where i found em?

    I would assume so, but you should only do that if backing up in iTunes doesn't work.
