My iPod Touch 2Gs battery drains EXTREMELY FAST!

I was playing Dirt Moto @ 100& and after 3 races I was down to 50.

I turn Wi-Fi off, and SSH, but my battery drains even when Im just checking e-mail. On some other forums, it says this is a possible hardware fault and I could get it exchanged for a new one.

Also, where do I go to get it exchanged? Do I go to an authorized Apple retailer that you can find on Apples website, or can I just go to Best Buy where I bought it from?

Has anyone ever brought theirs back for fast battery draining?

Go to apples website and request a return. I did that not for a battery drain but for another issue and they took it and sent me a new one. And I didn't originaly get it from apple.

Did you have to mail it?

Cause I dont wanna go through a bunch of sh*t, Id rather just go to an authorized dealer.

What is the process of doing that?

    Does it cost anything?

Um. You don't pay anything apple sends you a box and it's all prepayed by them. You just have to wait for the box then send it back to them.

if you dont live anywhere near an apple store, i guess you should just mail it. ppl at apple stores i think have a policy that it has to be brought in like 3 times or something....at least thats how it was for mine.....maybe the battery problem is different.

So they send me a box, then I send it over to them, then they mail me back a brand new one? Sounds sketchy
