ijailbreak mobile uses the dev team method if it is being used from 1.1.2. It uses natetrue if it is comming from 1.1.1.
also, the app pack for free method was sorta stickied for awhile. all you do is download the patched springboard file (which was originally used to fix the nate true jailbreak issues of the ipod thinking it was an iphone.) It will enable the apps because it is a modded iphone file for the touch, and that is the file that tells the iphone to have them and the touch not to have them.

Same problem here. Would appreciate some help regarding this. Thanks to the original author for an otherwise extremely helpful and informative thread.

    SRoD fix:

install openSSH and bossprefs. set ssh to "on on rebot" in bossprefs

I installed a SMB theme and it gave me the SRoD. I even restarted my ipod, and i could still ssh into it. I guess openSSH from installer launches deamons when contacted rather than turning it off and on.
p.s. did this twice: this method works

Also, if you SRoD and don't reboot into Recovery, you can still sync your iPod, which means it will back up all your settings, and then, if you just restore it and ZiPhone jailbreak it and re-sync, you just reinstall your applications and your sms, contacts, emails, etc will be saved.

No it's cool but for those that are having so many problems with entering DFU mode, you should add that to the guide. Of course I may have overlooked it. This would make a great forum wide sticky, and I think that you should contact Skylar about that.

You really think so? That's probably the nicest thing I've heard yet, thanks:D

I think I will move it to anothe site though, as to not clutter up the forums. Don't expect much though, I'm still in Italy, and will be back in the US in early March. Until then, I hope this thread helps others out:)

This would be a great place to redirect everyone who comes into the jailbreak 1.1.3 section every five minutes with a new problem that they think no one else has ever had before. So instead of searching they just start a new thread.... A link to this post is going in my sig.
