So since the 9/9/09 dissapointment, I've been wondering if it is possible to buy an iPhone for 99$ at the Apple store then make it think its activated. Ive searched around on google and found a program called iActivator, but I dont know if works on fw 3.0 on iPhone 3G. Ihave no desire to use the iPhone as a phone, I only want the iPod, cheapness, and the camera/mic. Any advice/help/suggestions would be awesome

If you want to get an iPhone through Apple, you have to activate it no matter what.

    Get one off ebay/craiglist.

You do realize you have to sign a 2yr AT&T contract before walking out the door with that "$99" iPhone, right?

Yes, it would have worked with a first gen iPhone though

also if u buy 2 and activate them on the same number the first will be deactivated and then say u don't want the second.
