My cousin recently got an iPhone 4, which was very convenient because I wanted to test out the FaceTime app. Sadly, she lives in Australia and I live in Canada so I can't see her normally. With that in thought, I asked for her iPhone phone number and tried to FaceTime her. It told me the number was not complete. Since she lives in Australia, her phone number was in this format: (xxx) xxx-xxx
I also asked her for a "full" phone number, and she told me to dial 61 in front of the number. Even then, it still says the number isn't complete. Any ideas?

You have an iPod Touch 4 correct? And you want to FaceTime her and she has an iPhone 4?

Use the email support that they added in 4.1 for FaceTime.

I haven't got her e-mail yet cause of the time difference, but shouldn't you still be able to use phone numbers even if they aren't 7 digits, just for the sake of international calling?

No. The iPod Touch doesn't have a phone app.

The facetime app is the phone app. They are one in the same. Similar to how the Music app is the Video app (and vice versa) and how the Camera app is the Photos app.

Email Apple support about facetime calling US to Australia.

61 is the country code for Australia.

Is her iPhone updated to 4.1?

I also have an ipod touch 4 and I tried to facetime an iphone 4.
It worked only with the phone number, the email didn't work.
