Well I got my ipod touch 4g today and I want to try out facetime. Well it seams it wont let me.

I open up face time and I get a log in screen. It says to enter my apple ID and password and I do. I get "Facetime Activation : the username or password for "username" was incorrect. try again"

I know Im doing it right I have had the same username and password for 5+ years. and I know its right because I can download apps from the appstore.

Anybody know what I can do?

    Case sensitive.

Try confirming the activation via your email.

    iPod to iPhone facetime

Does anyone know how to get the iPhone to use the email address to call an iPod rather than using a phone number like it does when calling another iPhone? I can't call my brothers iPhone and he can't call my iPod.

I found out my problem. Apparently apple doesn't let you use apple id usernames for the FaceTime app. So I had to change the username I had for 5+ years to my iTunes email address. You have to go into your account in iTunes or the apple site and change your username to a email address. Looks like apple want to get rid of apple id usernames
