I upgraded my iPT a couple days ago to 3.0 and so far everything seems simple enough except for the Bluetooth.

I was expecting an app on the screen for accessing bluetooth devices and such. So far the only place I've been able to find any mention of bluetooth on my iPT is in the settings/general app. I was able to turn it on but it does not find any devices, ever. When I have it turned on my laptop and my cellphone can both find it, but neither can pair with it.

Am I missing something here? Does your iPT actually find other devices to pair with? Is there a 'pairing key' that I need to set somewhere on my iPT that I'm missing?

    Any help is appreciated.

What are you trying to pair with it?

I've heard only headsets work. Or headphones.

That's because apple only added a2dp connectivity. i.e. only stereo bluetooth headsets. this should be fully unlocked when ibluetooth is upgraded.

I've been trying to pair it with my laptop and cell phone, so that would explain why it won't find any devices that I'm trying to pair it with. What is iBluetooth?

iBluetooth will unlock the bluetooth on the ipod touch 2G beyond just a2dp, this would allow OBEX (Object Exchange) it is currently be programmed. look on medevil for more info.

And my understanding that even mics and some buttons like forward/back track or maybe it is the play/pause don't work, I was hoping for some wireless Skype and other mic enabled apps.
