    Hi
I accidentally put my iPhone 3G (3.0FW) into recovery mode. Is there any way of getting it back to normal without restoring it?

    Thanks

Hold both the Power and Home buttons until your device restarts.

Did you release the buttons as soon as the Apple Logo appeared?

    Download QuickPwn 2.2.25 windows/mac.
Connect your iPhone and start QuickPwn
It will prompt you to hold your power button and home button for 15 seconds or something, just follow the instructions and it will reboot your iPhone without having to restore it.

just hold both buttons down until the apple logo comes up and when it comes up let go of the power button and keep holding the home button until it boots normally. hope this works for you
