Ok i got ipod touch 2g 2.2.1 jailbreak.
I am having this problem even before jailbreaking.
For example, now i am playing tap tap revenge 2.
halfway thru the 2nd song(probably 5 min of usage now ), the app crash and return back to home screen.
this happen to every app. safari too. it is kind of irritating when you are playing games and lose the stage/level

Not Normal. Try Reboot, Restore, then if all else fails, Contact Apple.

    Respring.
If you're jailbroken, install Processes for SBSettings or just MemTool.
Quit processes you don't need and it will help speed up your device as well as prevent such frequent crashes.

Like spoonforknife said, you probably haven't closed all the applications you were using before you opened the next one, so it crashes because the iPod can't handle all the workload.

Pressing the home button doesn't actually close an application but instead puts it as a background process. To actually close all your applications, open an application up and then hold down the home button for 7 seconds.

Alternatively, you could just reboot your iPod or install MemTool like spoonforknife also said.

If they are c****** apps, then I think developers are putting going to new measures to prevent apps from being stolen. I believe that the app pings a server with a special code generatedn when you buy it, and if it doesn't get the correct code, the app closes. If you are a good person and don't use them, then tey SBSettings methods above.
