I'm a bit annoyed by the fact that for several of my applications, such as iSolitaire and weDict, I get notice of an update only to find that after updating I get a similar notice of an update which is for the previous version. If I "update" back I get a new notice of the higher numbered version. And so on.

If I am to use these apps I will frever have a red circle on my desktop icon.

Is there any way to solve this conflict?

Make the red circle transparent and find the directory in SSH.

OK, so what you're saying is that there is no way to fix this version conflict and the only solution is to turn off the notification display for everything altogether?

Ok, I noticed eventually that all the doubles were from a couple of sources I didn't really want anyway, so now they are gone and the problem is solved for now.

I need my little update notification so I cannot delete it! So exciting to suddenly see a red circle on the desktop.
