I know that the Dev Team work at their own pace, but I'd like to ask if anyone remembers how long it took someone to unlock the first gen iPhone.

What i meant is the time it took for a devteam to release the unlock for the original iPhone.

    Yellowsn0w was released on new year's eve, so 2009 - 2007 = 2 years.

yellowsn0w was for the iPhone 3g. Not the first generation iPhone.

Patience is key, I am sure it won't take long though. 3.0 is a very large change from 2.x.x, which means a lot of new code. Which also means a lot of new vulnerabilities.
