Errors afer installing 3.0 and official jailbreak

Hi guys,
I have just re-installed the iPhone OS 3.0 official version from Apple,
yet I am still having troubles, when I try to install packages from Icy or Cydia, I get "Package (Whatever package) cannot be installed (DPKG returned error #2). More information can probably be found in the console log."

Which reads "dpkg: parse error, in file '/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 26 package 'firmware': duplicate value for user-defined field 'Name'

HELP, I can't install packages!!!

Yea same here just wanted to second that.. Was gonna try a restore but if other people are getting it too I'm inclined to believe it may be a bug.

try that: use redsn0w 0.7.2, do not install "icy" at first JB, only Cydia, after finished, upgrade Cydia entirely, and after that install "icy", it works to my Ipod Touch 1g.

it only 2g users having this issue?

The same thing happened to me on my ipod touch 2g..in order to correct this error you must do a clean install of the 3.0 firmware without backing up your ipod. Then what i did was installed both cydia and icy from the jailbreak and it gave me the error so i redid the jailbreak with just cydia and now i have both applications working fine
