Ok, so I tried to jailbreak my iPod Touch using the "[Win] unofficialsn0w 2.2.1 Jailbreaking Tutorial", followed it to the letter, and I got error 1601. When it's "restoring", it takes about 5 minutes, then finally decides to let me know it won't work. I've tried uninstalling iTunes 8.2 and installing 8.1 then restarting and retrying, but it doesn't work. I've seen other posts where they say to go into run and type "cd ", then drag and drop the ifix folder, but typing "cd " and hitting enter just gives me an error message. For this reason, I couldn't use the other jailbreak method mentioned in the tutorial thread (typing in cd C:\whatever just gives me an error saying cd couldn't be found). Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Edit: I can restore it to it's original version, I only get the error when trying to install JB.ipsw

Second edit: I tried using quickfreedom and it worked instead. Thanks anyway!

Are you trying to jailbreak 2.2.1?
