    Hey

I've been though quite some threads about this installer problem, but not one can tell how to fix it, there are some solutions given like
    - using boss tool to free space (done that - no work)
    - resetting (done that - no work)
    - reboot (done that - no work)

and this one thread says to type in a code (chmod 4755 /Applications/Installer.app/Installer)

in SSH? but how? I'm using cyberduck and have no clue as to where to type that in... can someone pleas explain?

My installer used to work just fine but all of a sudden it just won;t install anything!!!!!

EDIT: sorry, I just found a solution to this problem. change the permissions to 755!!!

for those who have the same problem:
    - open SSH
    - go to /Applications/Installer.app
    - select all
    - set permission to 755

Edit2: worked for 1 update, now it just says Main script execution failed!

    any ideas?

found a fix on other forum for Main script execution failed!

since it is never explained in a simple way anywhere because people seem to think everyone's a computer expert, here is a step by step (for Mac)

    Open Terminal

    type in:

ssh -L root 192.168.1.101 (the number is my iPod's IP, change it to yours)

ENTER (Enter is the Enter/Return key)

(Enter your password, it should be alpine)

    ENTER

    cd /

    ENTER

    cd Applications/

    ENTER

    wget http://repository.apptapp.com/packag.../Installer.zip

    ENTER

    rm -rf Installer.app

    ENTER

    unzip Installer.zip

    ENTER

    chmod +s Installer.app/Installer

    ENTER

    chown -R root:wheel Installer.app

    ENTER

    rm Installer.zip

Now you can reboot your ipod and close Terminal. Installer should work perfectly now!!
