Well, ever since I SSHed into my iPod and places the GBA Emulator and a couple of Mario Roms into my iPod I couldn't get anything off of installer again.

Whenever I would download something off the installer it would crash once it says "Installing package...", however, up until that point it would say "downloading package" and it would actually download it, except it would not install it.

Also, whenever I try to update anything from my installer, I am unable to, do to the same reason. It crashes when it states "Updating package..."

    Please help!

Did you ever run BossTool to move fonts, ringtones, and apps?

There are 2 portions on an iPod, one for the OS, and one for everything else.

What has happened is you have used up all of the 300mb on your partion that all the apps are stored, which is no problem. Uninstall a few apps with installer and then install BossTool. Open up that app and chose free disk space. Make sure you move your ringtones and fonts before moving applications.

I'm relocating my things however it says that on /var I only have 7440 MB, that would be equivilant to the around 7.4 GB right?

Also, won't this mean I have less space to add my media into?

It won't take much space at all in the scheme of things but it will keep it from crashing and make it work properly.
