    support

    hi najkks

I have exactly the same problem than you. I have tried everything possible but none of them work.
My ipod touch is freeze on USB connect to itunes mode (so it's unusable) and any restore worked.
Tomorrow i will go to a apple (reseller) store and see if they know the issue and can repair it.
    I'll let you know.

naj, have you tried re-installing itunes?

@above poster, all they are likely to do is restore the ipod

Well I hope they will be able to do something a least cause for my part i tried everything and nothing worked.
I don't know if they have a "special" software cause i have maybe tried to restore it like 20 times and my ipod is still not worked.
I'm also hoping they won't tell me to buy another one.

    - deleting and reinstalling all apple software (itunes, mobile device, bonjour...)
    - reinstalling itunes 7.5 & 8.1
    - restorring to firmware 1.1.4 & 2.2.1
    - trying on a new computer and user account

take it to an Apple Store and tell them that your computer wont restore your iPod. If they ask about if it was jailbroken, always tell them no. they'll restore it for you for sure.
