I get error 40 after extracting ipsw from sn0wbreeze. what i did:

= made the ipsw with sn0wbreeze
= launched ireb and itunes at the same time
= let ireb do its stuff with my ipod touch 2g mb
    = shift+restore and selecting the sn0wbreeze ipsw.

    What did I do wrong??

edit: now it does suddenly work. nm.

I don't know but try anything try again maybe it's just a bug in sn0wbreeze or iReb I know the littlest things can be the answer try unplugging ipod or any little thing you won't think will work...

I keep getting this error too. It's really annoying. Haven't found a way around it yet.

Same as you all. had to recover to stock 4.1 to get my ipod to work again. may be it don't support OS's and permissions?
