just curious, getting error 3001 trying to restore from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 using tinytss, and I do have the shsh's backed up. My ipod is the 32 gig 3rd Gen. Not a huge issue since I am able to JB with spirit, but would like the option if needed. I was under the assumption (yes I know what assuming means

)that with my shsh's backed up I would be able to go back, but maybe I am mistaken?
    thanks all!

Did you change your hosts file, so that it thinks Saurik's server is Apple's?

I had changed it to hmm...I'm at work do don't know exact number, but it's like 172.0.0.1 since I am using tinytss.exe to run my own server for itunes to connect to and use my backed up shshs's. Should I use Sauriks instead?

If you have it on file with Saurik, direct it to saurik. Change your host to...

Thanks Clustershart and Ownerofspam, changed it to Saurik's and that did the trick. Wish I knew why it wouldn't restore with my backed up shsh's and tinytss, just in case Cydia wasn't an option.

    Had you put 127.0.0.1 or 172.0.0.1 ?

Because 127.0.0.1 is the right one
