Error 2005 - FIXED

    Hey guys, I've been going crazy trying to sort this out and I know there are a few threads with regard to this so I thought I'd tell you how to solve it.

    Error 2005 comes up when trying to restore ANY FW, it just isn't happy. On my Mac I tried using Parallels to restore using Windows..to no avail. However, when you shift the USB cable (ie. from hub to main or main to hub) then it works no problem. I've just restored to factory settings, then to JB :D

    so you just change the place of the cable? guess im gonna try that. hope it works

    I'm new in Ipod Touch Fans! I had this error 2005 in itunes, I looked for hundreds of pages in google and you guys solved my whole afternoon problem I had for hours! Thank you!!

    Joe WL you are an absolute ******* legend. I have been trying to get my ipod touch back to life for the past two days. I have taken it to an Apple store and the guy told me the hard drive was dead. I have searched for hours and hours and hours on google. Finally got the 2005 error and googled that, your post came up I thought why not give it a go and it ******* worked. You are brilliant. Thankyou so much.
