    Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I need help with my iPod Touch 1G.

I upgraded it to 3.0 firmware and it sucks so much that I need to downgrade it to 2.2.1. I tried everything, but I keep getting an error 20 in iTunes.

I've tried iTunes 8.2, 8.1, and 7.6, but I keep getting the same error.

I put my iPod Touch into DFU mode, and then shift+restore it to a downloaded iPod Touch 1G 2.2.1 firmware.

I can't seem to figure out how to downgrade my iPod without getting that error 20. It would be greatly appreciated for any help! I've searched literally everywhere for a solution, but can't find one.

    Thanks!

Hey guys, check this out! I finally figured out how to fix my iPod after reading this topic

A note though: If WinPwn stops working AFTER the screen says that it completed creating a custom firmware, it doesn't matter. It'll look like it's not done creating the custom firmware because it freezes up, when in reality it actually works. Just go back to iTunes, and shift+restore to your custom made firmware. Remember to do this after you've followed the instructions under that topic so you don't get confused.
