hi i recently jailbreaked my ipod touch 2nd gen and it has been over a month since doing this. the other morning i tried to turn on my ipod, when it just gave me a blank screen. I thought it was just the battery being dead, so i went on my computer and plugged it into th usb port. The low battery signal flashed and i thought the problem was solved. wrong, my ipod is unable to restore it shows error 1611 and it is unable to start up. it flashes the apple sign and then a white screen and restarts the same process over and over agian. If u have any ideas please share them with me.

When you're in DFU mode the screen goes black, not the connect to iTunes logo. I'm sorry, but you must be doing it wrong.

Its probably a custom restore logo. Nevertheless, its not in DFU mode. Make sure you're doing the finger dance correctly, follow a tutorial on youtube or something to get the timing right.

When you're in DFU mode, the iPod should look like its turned off, with a black screen.

No, a black screen. A back-lit black screen.
