Yes I've already searched but reinstalling itunes didn't do anything.
I have verbose boot, custom boot logo, custom recovery logo for my iPod Touch 2nd gen 8gb. When I was DFU restoring to my NOR-only firmware, I got the error 1601. I tried recovery mode restore but that just booted up my iPod, and then iTunes said error 1601 iPod could not be restored after my iPod is booted up. Is there any other way to fix error 1601?

DHowets iboot patch disables nor flash firmware...you have to fully restore

Just run the iRecovery/rslite commands again (white screen), then restore to the NOR Firmware.

    Thanks guys
I did the pre-restore patching from RedTool, but then I got error 6 after I restored.

This bug seems to be from doing a NOR only restore from DFU Mode with the redsn0w patch. I have had several testers confirm that performing the restore to a NOR Only firmware from Recovery mode (With no patching) works with a less likelihood of error. I will be working on transitioning redTool over to this method tonight, it really won't take very long I don't think. I will simply use pwnmetheus to automatically reboot the iPod into recovery mode for you, all you'll have to do is restore

I may have this build (1.02) out as early as tonight.

    Cool thanks!
Will it work with verbose boot, since it just boots up if you recovery restore?
