I'm apologizing in advance for this thread, I just hope I can get it settled quickly so I don't clutter up the forums anymore.

I have done a search, and checked through some threads but they haven't helped me.

Basically, when updating to 2.0, I get the "unknown" error 1403.

Is there a perfect solution to this problem? I am on 1.1.5, I heard that still worked?

Maybe my 2.0 file was borked.

edit: downloaded a new firmware and got error 5?

edit2: Jesus f***, I got the iphone firmware. That's 400 mb wasted today

Heh, yeah, I know. I've been out of the loop for a fair while. I've had a jailbroken 1.1.2 for ages (didn't feel the need to go higher).

I'm no stranger to SSH and other things and have customised my iPod without problem, that's why I kinda feel stupid making this thread
