It's been a month and you're only asking about it now? Kind of late..

Anyways, you can try the rice thing, but that's only used to absorb all the excess water, but since a month has gone by, I don't think there's any water left.

You can pick up a new digitizer on ebay, like Lux2GS said, but if you plan on replacing it yourself, you do run the risk of ruining your iPod completely.

ive done the same thing when my phone (not iphone) went through the wash. i even have the pink litmus paper on the phone too! it works. digitizers are like 20 bucks (or im terribly wrong) and they are halfway easy to install

I know that digitizers for the iPhone 3G/3GS are like $10-$15, so that's not bad at all.

Im in the process of getting money, then getting the digitizer, yeah the digitizer is easy to install:

    1. pry open the ipod
    2. disconnect the old digitizer (click on port)
    3. put new digitizer port and clip it onto the ipod
    4. put it all together and (hopefully) ta-da....
