Notorious iPhone hacker/expert Erica Sadun’s updated twitter with the msg ‘ip light’. Light was one of the flashlight applications in the App Store. It has been removed from App Store due to Erica hacking the brightness of the iPhone to higher level then allowed by Apple.

Not that this is a big issue, there are still a lot of other light applications available to install from the App Store or Cydia. More information will soon be available on Erica’s weblog.

    What app is next?

lol turning up the brightness isn't allowed

what? Erika should do whatever the hell she wants, besides, who's checking the light output in flashlight.app?

I'm a little fired up, because I love the flashlight app (Installer free version)

WTF??? It's a flash light app, hence it's SUPPOSED to be bright, whatever it's just nice to know we have someone as intelligent as Erica on our side, I guess I'll just stick with the Cydia version.

wow everyone here is (word here, can't think of one atm)

it's not like they put in the app store rules right before they released it, all the developers should've read them and made sure their stuff didn't break any of 'em

n' like he said it's not like there arent 40 other flashlight apps

That is stupid, but Apple does not want developers to hack their sh*t, so quite understandable.

that's the problem too many rules
all the other "40" flashlight apps don't increase brightness which makes them unless
turning up the screen brightness isn't exactly what I would consider hacking
