Hello everyone. Well basically, and very unfortunately, I think that my iPod Touch may just be concluding his life

I noticed that when earlier today, he started to randomly turn on and off, and now he doesn't want to show his face.

Just in case he dies, I wanted to say that he was a good iPod. Always figured out how to cheer me up. He definitely lived a full life, but I guess all good things come to and end one day or another.

Its only at the end of its life when it refuses to turn off or back on, if you can't turn it off then it means ur HDD has broken.

Bet it has something to do with your Jailbreak.

    SSD. Not HDD.

Excuse me sir, your iPod is inanimate, there for it has no gender and is not sentient.

Actually it's built onto the board so technically it's not a sold state drive. It's soldered on flash memory pretty much.

I don't hate it. Just don't see a true useful need for it (Aside for the iPhone) ever since 2.0. Though in the case of this thread, you really can blame the malfunction of his device on the Jailbreak. Most likely its a software issue. If he restores, he should be fine.

If it wasn't jailbroken, send it to apple and try to get it fixed if it is jailbroken see if you can get it to stay on long enough to do a restore then try to send it in.
