This is a really silly question, but can I encrypt or require a log in for iTunes on my computer? It's a shared computer and I would rather not have anyone who opens iTunes on it to be able to view my music folder, how many times I've played each track etc. The app store requires a log in so that's fine.

Also, can anyone who opens iTunes have access to my iPod backup data? Is there a way to protect that?

    Thanks!

whats so bad about having other people see how many times you've played a song?

And i'm not sure about ipod backup data (as in if itunes already does something to protect it)

No porn.... I just have an annoying brother and want to keep him out.

The thing is, wasn't there supposed to be some sort of encryption function with the new iTunes? I can't find it.

Apparently no, but the only thing that can be encrypted would be your backups, on Firmware 3.0.

There is a thread here somewhere that tells you how to create a shortcut, that rquires a password, then you disguise it as the usual shortcut, and remove the old one.
