Alright, so I am completely aware that all of us ipod touch 2g mc model owners are apparently out of luck for a jailbreak at this time, i have a plan.

So far I have downloaded a .ipsw file from Apple's Server (for ipod touch 2g), converted it to a .zip folder, unzipped it, and got these files:
    018-5533-585.dmg
    018-6462-368.dmg
    BuildManifest.plist
    Firmware (Folder)
    kernelcache.release.n72
    Restore.plist

I have looked and looked in all the directories I have access to and have no way to get to the .plist that enables multitasking and wallpaper on our iDevice.

But, here's where I need someone extremely intelligent,
When I try to open the "018-5533-585.dmg" it prompts me
    Enter password to access "018-5533-585.dmg"

I need someone out there to decrypt this .dmg or at least guide me through getting into that .dmg because I have a feeling inside that .dmg is where all the root files are, and where the magic happens. If I can get inside that .dmg I can enable multitasking, wallpaper, and maybe even bluetooth keyboard support. If I can get this going I'll host the edited .ipsw on my server.

    Thanks in advance

What you are asking is illegal and Plus it won't work in the end, trust me. You cannot get it to run modified codes.

Sounds intriguing, although I have no idea how to help you. Good luck, and I hope your work ends up for the good of all MC owners.

This wont work. If we could use custom IPSW's then trust me, we would.

    Won't work.

Don't make multiple threads on the same subject please.
