This file will allow you set the default time for the iPod screen to dim, but not lock. This is helpful in saving battery life, as well as being pretty cool.

Simply connect to your iPod via SSH, using WinSCP, CyberDuck, or whatever you use to connect.

Then drop the attached file in /Applications/Preferences.app

Don't forget to change permissions on the Preferences.app folder to 755 recursively.

Open up your Settings app, check under the Brightness category.

    Enjoy.

Or... Just download the Extended Preferences app in the ModMyiFone Repo. It has this built right into it.

You could do it manually, but its not on the repo anymore.

Well that I didn't know. Why did they remove it from their repo? If they did indeed do it, then I might just re-release my Advanced Preferences.

From what I've heard, they are planning on releasing it through the AppStore.

Tell them I said, "Good luck with that." If that happens, I'll eat my shoes.

Skylar, if you update your adv. prefs, that would own. I wanted the MMI extended prefs, but couldn't find them anywhere... =/
