There are links where to buy it. That's advertising. Keep the review, remove the links.

It's just a convenience. There is a difference between a well-written review and a spam post. This thread is the former.

So if I wrote a review on an app, then i couldn't give a link to the app store because thats "advertising"?

All reviews have links to the product, so we know where to get them

He knows what he's doing he's a mod

rules say no advertising, don't they? If people want the app / product they can easily search for it, it's not that hard to do. I guess mods can bend the rules all they want. BS

My mintyboost (http://www.ladyada.net/make/mintyboost/) pwns all of your external batteries. I just say that because I might be slightly drunk, but there are also arguments for it. Go figure for yourself.

Look at all the threads in here - they've all got something in common. They have links to purchase their respective applications. (As iptman said).

Maybe their needs to be some clarification of the Rules, but as of now you are beating a dead horse.

It's not against the rules to post a link to a product after writing a review of it. It's against the rules to use the site for spam. Use common sense. (oh, and stop trolling)

bgizzle, I wasn't trolling (as you call it) I was wonder why it was ok to advertise when the rules forbid it. So, basically I can write a review of something and link to buy it. I just wanted to be clear, that's all. Please don't "troll" on me either, as it's against your rules.

    That would be trolling...

An explanation of the rules doesn't fall under the "trolling" category.

Also, it's typically better to take up such inquiries in a private manner (via PM / email) to avoid a potential public disturbance.

    Have a nice day! :)
