I like to use the autocorrect feature on my iPod Touch mainly because it is faster when when it inserts periods and caps for me. but I get really pissed when it corrects my username (maztrr) which is my username for iPod touch fans, my email, and many other various sites. I was wondering if it was possible to stop my iPod from correcting "maztrr" without dissabling autocorrect. could someone please tell me how to do so. I am running a untethered, jailbroken 2.2.1 FW on my iPod touch 2g.

yes there is a way. type your username completely, but dont push space. a little bubble with a corrected word comes up with a little X next to it. Hit the X, then space. the dictionary will have saved your username as a word in its brains.

dude, if ur jailbroken, u can just go into cydia and (if u have sbsettings... which u really should) download the SB autocorrect widget. its a button on sbsettings that will let u turn on or turn off autocorrect on the fly. its pretty nice.
