you should just update to 1.1.4 and jailbreak it with Ziphone or iLiberty. and no there's not really anything that can get "screwed," if you mess something up you can just restore.

Yes you may downgrade your Ipod, but it not really need. Just to a restore upgrade to 1.1.4 and use your favorite jailbreak tool be it ZiPhone or ilibery+

I don't understand why you would have to downgrade to Firmware 1.1.1 and then return to Firmware 1.1.3. All you'll have to do is download the Firmware 1.1.3 file [.ipsw file] and then you'll want to hold down SHIFT and press the Restore button in iTunes. Then, you can jailbreak Firmware 1.1.3 by using ZiPhone.

The jailbreak method for Firmware 1.1.2 is different than Firmware 1.1.3, as 1.1.2 uses Oktoprep.

Fool!! Just Use The Upgrade Button To 1.1.4. Much Better Then 1.1.1. Why? Cause Most Apps Are Made For 1.1.4
Simply Upgrade, Then Jailbrake Via Ziphone.
