    [Tutorial] Easier 1.1.3 Downgrade

Step 1. Connect your iPod to your computer and make sure it shows up in iTunes.

Step 2. Hold down the sleep button and the home button simultaneously untill the iPod icon (as shown in the image below) dissapears from iTunes

Step 3. Once its gone, release the sleep button

Step 4. Your iPod should then show up in iTunes. iTunes will tell you that its in recovery mode or somthing of the sort an prompt you to restore.

At this point you can just go ahead and do your usual "shift click" on restore and locate your 1.1.1 firmware upgrade. Let iTunes do its thing and Vola! You should now have a Jailbreakable Convict iPod!

Sounds delicious, and I wish I could try it out.

iTunes doesn't work on Linux though.

I'll stick with 1.1.1 for now.

I was using 7.6 on my Mac and it didn't work.
I installed iTunes 7.4 on XP (using Parallels) and it worked right from the start.

This isn't working. This is what we all tried a couple days ago when it was released and nothing. Same error, it doesn't happen for some but the error happens for most, the easiest way is to get itunes 7.5 i believe.
