Would anyone like to enlighten me as to why my earphones constantly break? I treat them nicely they dont go near water yet ONE just ONE earphone breaks!

This has happened to my last 4-5 pairs over 6 months and its really pissing me off. Admittedly I have been getting cheap pairs but I got one expensive pair of Sony's and one broke as well so it kind of put me off.

I have always brought branded headphones aswell such as creative.

this happens with the iPod stock headphones aswell.

    Thanks,

    Ben.

dude same for me....i broke apple stock ones in like a month, and skullcandy in like couple weeks...common problem i find is that the wires are too weak...like one strong jerk at it was enough to permanantly break my skullcandy lol

luckily my shures can with free warrenty so i'm not worried about it this time

Well even a hard tug on the wire can break it, even without you noticing. This is why I go for reliable brands that have good wires.

I have had 3 pairs of Sony's break on me, in addition to many other cheaper included headsets I have received. Headphones just seem to be prone to breaking

hmm does anyone use the portable cases that comes with their earphones?
i was wondering maybe that's why they break so easily, but honestly, are there anyone that carries it around in the little pouch?

Yep, I carry my headphones in a case to protect them from the elements.
