Well I'd like to hear your recommendations/experiences on which mic is better with iPodTouch2G if I want to record lectures?

    Thanks.

Actually the Apple in ears are $79. But they are definatley worth it if you have the cash. I got them cheap because my friend works at the Apple store near where I live and I got his employee discount. But if you can fork the cash, they are definatley worth it.

Thanks. Anyway does the iPod touch 2G works with any mic with 3.5mm jack? Example would be Sony's ECM C115.

Or do you have a better recommendation?

    Philips iPhone/iPod touch (2nd gen) Headphone/Earbud/Mic/Remote Adapter

I plan to get one of these later today if I can find it in stock at a local Target here in Las Vegas. I'd prefer to get one of these so I can use whatever headphones/earbuds I choose. I'm sure the mic (built into the bud) works great too.

The button on the bud functions too (with the iPhone/iPod touch 2nd gen AFAIK, maybe the control functions with the iPt 1st gen too, no idea but I'll find out). One press = Pause, Two presses = Next track, Three presses = Replay track. Pretty cool stuff...

Thanks. I was just on the japanese site and saw the in-ear headphones with mic and remote for the first time on an apple site.

He's right. They're $79 for the In Ear + Mic. And $29 for the Regular + Mic. Though if you want to go more technical and add taxes, you're both wrong.
