So I was wondering since cds can only hold so much music, would it be possible to transfer music to my xbox using a dvd disk since it can hold tons more

just tried it and while it can play the music from the dvd, it does not give an option to rip the music from the disc

Can you put your music on a flash drive and copy it over to your Xbox?

Oh well I never tried it on my Xbox 360 but I found out on accident that my PS3 does it so I though the xbox offered that too.

Would streaming music from your computer to your Xbox work for you (I know for a fact this works) that would be much easier than ripping music to your xbox but you need to have you computer on and awake while streaming.

yes the ps3 does do a better job at these things then xbox 360

streaming would and does work better for me, well now anyway. i did have an external hard drive (250GB) connected to my xbox that had movies, music, and pictures on it, but since the latest update my xbox no longer sees my external hard drive.

but i am getting an old desktop that im going to set-up as a media server/nos, so i guess my problem will be solved
