I just noticed that theres like 20 pieces of dust total under the screen.

I thought it was just under my screen protector, so I took that off but then noticed that the dust is still there, so it's definitely under the actual screen of the ipod.

Is there anything I can do about this? Can I send it to apple to get it fixed for free?

I live in a small town in Iowa and there aren't any Apple Stores near me at all.

I live in the middle of nowhere too, but you just go out of your way and find one. The nearest one to me is 3 hours away, but you have to do what is needed. I have/had dust under mine, but it disappeared. I think. Turn up the brightness if you can't stand to look at it.

If it is the anti glare stuff, then you take the screen off then steam it. Then use Scotch tape to take the dust off.

But it seems you don't have the anti-glare screen.

You drove 3 hours to an Apple Store to remove some dust under your screen?

The closest Apple Store near me is around 5-6 hours away.

There is no chance in hell I am driving that far just for my ipod.

    Is there any other way?

Take off the screen and blow out the dust.

No. Not for that incident. A corner used to push down a bit, the rubber on the outside was messed up, and I had that replaced. The dust disappeared. Or I just can't see it anymore. Either way. I would go that far away to have it fixed. But that's me. Do as you want.

Would Apple provide a replacement just because of dust under the screen? It's gets annoyingly noticeable for me at times, in the dark especially.
If they would, would a small scratch on the glass cause them to object?
