Duel Firmware?

    now i love my ipod touch , it runs my life on merry old 1.1.1

    but i do wanna upgrade

    this is meraly a question not a request

    would it be possible to duel boot firmwares? say have the option to boot a 1.1.1 jailbroken or a 1.1.4 untouched verison ?

    just wonderd ? cheers

    you spelled dual incorrectly.

    the firmwares don't fight or duel each other. they're able to be dual-booted.

    A firmware fight might be fun to watch. I've got money on 1.1.4 though, 1.1.1 is a pansy.

    aha cheers , i was thinking more of a handy app from installer but that would be a ton of work i guess

    and 1.1.1 would lose badly

    But if you read down, he fixed it in the end.

    Realistically though, I'd only attempt this if you are very sure that you know what you're doing.

    Yeah, dual-booting an iPhone is not something you want to try unless you completely understand everything you are doing.

    A good tutorial can be found here, but it seems that you do need to understand the usage of certain UNIX commands, such as fdisk.
