I was thinknig of buying an Android based phone, but as a trial run, I was thinking of running android on my ipod touch.
I know I'd have to jailbreak to do that, but I'm wondering If I could dualboot for it.
I've spent monies on apps and such, and want to be able to still use those, so it'd be awesome to dualboot on my ipod touch.

I can get a friend to walk me through the How-To but he's busy for a while, so I figured i'd ask now so my hopes don't get up TOO much.

Your device, 3G iPod Touch 4.0 cannot run Android.

This is to do with the type of jailbreak.

If you want to know why then just ask but i can't be arsed to type it all for nothing...

But Feel free to explain why if you want to! :]
I'm not very good with technology, so I'm always eager to learn.

Duel booting android requires a bootrom exploit, this is a vulnerability found in the hardware, not the software. Installing Android also requires it to be ported in the first place.

There are other types of jailbreak such as userland and openiboot...

Woah, I can totally see why you didn't want to explain unnecessarily!
But dude, I thought a simple jailbreak was just a universal jailbreak, I never knew there were so many! :O
