hey, I have two monitors that i want to use as dual monitors.
One of them has a VGA and one of them has DVI output.
my computer has one VGA and one DVI input, so I thought it would be perfect.
I have tried to hook them both up, but only one can display at a time.
I've went to display settings, installed drivers everything.
my computer is about 2 years old.
on one of the monitors when i go to display settings, i can go to 1 and 2, but on the other monitor, there's only a one there.
If anyone's done this before, can they help?
do i need 2 DVI outputs?
do i need two of the same monitors?
i have a samsung syncmaster and an LG flatron

Is "Extend the desktop onto this monitor" checked?

Is the VGA and DVI on the motherboard or on a separate graphics card?
