Dual Boot iPot (my experience)

    Lets just put it this way

    Didn't work
    Took me a hour to finally restore


    Had to do dfu mode ALOT

    Just dont do it, i am still not sure if the files i replaced in usr/sbin are re-replaced (can someone clarify for me) to the orriginal

    After reading your post, I have gathered you probably don't know enough to fully understand dual booting.
    I don't understand why there was even a guide posted; only experienced users should do it.
    There's really no use, as there is a working hard jailbreak for every iPod firmware at this time..

    I understand exactly what it is, its like boot camp on mac, you switch between different firmwares, i think it only works for iphone and should NOT be attempted on the itouch, and the commands didnt work...STILL DID THE FILES IN USR/SBIN GET RE-REPLACED WHEN I RESTORED?

    I just wanna know if since i successfully restored that my itouch is as if i had just got it from the store?

    Uh, yeah, I guess you could compare it to that, but you obviously have no knowledge of anything you're doing, all you did was follow a guide.
    I'm glad people here don't own iPhones really, because they'd be even more screwed with the addition of the baseband and bootloader.
    They follow guides and have no idea how to fix anything if something goes wrong.
    And obviously they did; they always do when you restore.
    If you don't believe me, decrypt the 1.1.4 ramdisk and compare the files there with the ones on your iPod.
