INstall mTerminal the beta version then install the dtunes, if you either have both delete them first

No, dTunes just crashes all the time (for me anyway) and doesn't seem to be worth it to me. If you want it for *******s get *******ula (it never seems to work for me though).

I tried your first post.. No Dice

I have iOS 4.2.1 installed using PwnageTool and am having same problems as everyone else with dtunes. I have read in other forums that it is not compatible, but the first post got me thinking. I knew it was possible in linux to install deb packages without relying on dependencies. Turns out the same command works in with iOS mobileterminal also.

So I found a .deb file at the link below:

    http://hotfile.com/dl/43218067/fb910ff/com.yourcompany.dtunes_3.0_iphoneos-arm.deb.html

I used WinSCP to transfer the files to /private/var/mobile/Media/Downloads

Then I used the latest version of mobileterminal (MobileTerminal (NEW), [PIRACY]) which i installed in cydia.

Went to terminal and typed the following commands:

    su
    password:alpine
    cd /private/var/mobile/Media/Downloads
    dpkg --force-depends -i com.yourcompany.dtunes_3.0_iphoneos-arm.deb

It installed perfectly without the dependencies. However, it does not work as I believe it is still trying to use the old version of mobileterminal and is not compatible with the new version. I guess we just have to wait for a fix or an update...
