First, Please do not turn this into a debate.

I know this has been brought up a crap load of times.

But the only decent question about it had remained unanswered in the sixty-nine posts after the original post.

Since the thread I am quoting from was 2 years old and i-tech has improved by a decent amount since then and the fact that we have the Ipad now as well.

I will ask the question that Jonttu asked back in 2008.

If you don't have an answer relevant to the question don't even post.

Of course its possible to make the DS emulator. It's just that nobody took the time to make one. We can maybe request a dev or a dev team to make one. That will make my sister mad (she has a DSi and I want to prove her that my iPod CAN DO anything her DS can :D)

Wouldn't somebody just need to port NO$GBA to iOS?

Most definitely. Plus the incovienices it would have had before are now gone. the two reasons most people disregard the idea are not enough space on the screen and controls would be hard. With the iPad there is plenty of room for both of the screens and we are able to control with a wii-mote and the screen for the touch screen. What you would need to do is get a developer onboard with you to create it.

One of the biggest problems with a DS emulator is that requires atleast 500Mhz for the emulation alone, not to mention backgrounded processes that handle wiimotes. The nintendo DS has roughly the same tech specs of the PS1. Download the PSX emulator and try it out on your iPad, and I'm sure you will be disappointed in its performance. Maybe, just maybe, the next generation iDevices will be able to handle PSX and NDS emulation, but even if they did, you need to find a dev willing to write the code.

My dad believes that a DS can do anything an iPod does, but that was the apex of his argument, and I have proved false.

majority of your post has nothing to do with the question, though you do answer it in a semi objective sort of way in your last sentence. don't post again please.

as i sad in the first post i dont want this to be a debate but:

    1) most of the current psx emulators are modded version of the ones for the pc or are coded by a single person,

2)For a decent yet simple program no dev can do it solo (If you feel insulted by this then prove me wrong, Make a better emulation with better resource management than the current ones available). I Think you need at minimal at least 3 devs all double check the codes as well of working on different parts of the code.

    3) Of course there is the issue of finding these 3 or more devs who are willing to devote the time to refine such an emulator which due to the speed at which apple releases updates wont happen any time soon.

If you wish to comment to these 3 points PM ME, we can debate it there

Put no$gba on Bochs or iDos/DosPad. I might try that, I know my way around img files. After I add the app in I will make a tut for editing stuff.

Your gonna run an emulator in an emulator? You might as well divide by zero!

seriously? no$gba will not run on any windows with 512mb ram(well might run but will lag like crap and not worth playing). and the max ram on a idevice right now is 512mb. i dunno how you plan on doing this...
