My 3g Touch stops downloading large files when it goes to sleep. My 2G completes all downloads when its sleeping, but I cant recall installing anything to accomplish this. Is this a 3g or blackra1n problem or do I just need to install something?

When an iPod goes into sleep mode, it generally loses wifi connection. Try use Insomnia (you can download it on Cydia) and this will stop it from losing wifi while asleep. Note, it is a HUGE battery hog, make sure to turn it off when not downloading something.

It also has an SBSetting toggle.

Why can't you just Turn off Auto Lock?

if you have it plugged into power, wifi will not be lost either.

yeah, insomnia, plug it in (never tried this) or just turn off autolock and keep it awake until it downloads.

Thanks guys. I always plug my 2g in while I download, so I guess that's my answer. Never occured to me that it would act differently under battery power.
