I have just joined the forum,so if there is a thread for this already, just give the link to it

A friend of mine has shown me how to download dvd's to itunes library but its so blood comlicated, i am just wondering if there is an easier way
    His method

    1 - load dvd

    2 - run software 'ripit4me'

3 - run software 'dvd decrypter'

4 - run software 'dvd shrink'

    when all that is done

5 run software 'handbrake' or 'auto gk'

    6 - run software ' videora converter'

If you have made no mistakes along the way you might get your dvd into itunes library!!

    Is there a simpler method??

    thanks

I use 123Movies2IPOD. Available at Staples for $30ish.

    1. Stick DVD in DVD drive of PC.
    2. Run 123Movies2IPOD.

Some time passes (varies with movie), but eventually you have a movie for your Touch.

It also works with DVD movies I already have ripped to a hard drive. Same number of steps.

I use Magic DVD Ripper. It converts the DVD and rips it at the same time, but it takes a long time. Just drag it from the folder you saved it to into iTunes and you're done.

DVDFab works awesome. It rips DVDs with protection on them and can convert them to .mp4 all in one step.

Another vote for DVD Fab. But I usually just rip the movies & leave out the credits. Preserve more space.

I'm a big fan of Fair Use Wizard 2.0. You just set the file type and size, click automatic and come back in an hour or so to a video file.

The free version only does .avi so you have to convert it, but the paying version can convert straight to h.264

How would one solve the issue with the audio becoming out of sync when ripping/converting? I've had issues with this before so I don't bother with ripping my own DVDs anymore.
