Is there any possible way to download .iso files using the safari download plugin?
I tried to add iso to the info.plist but it didn't work

If I try to download it always says "safari can't open the page because it's too large"

    Anyone who has an idea?

Why, in God's name, would you want to download a Live CD of Ubuntu Linux onto your iPod touch? Just use your damn computer.

Now, you can't download an entire ISO file ... lol. It would take way too long and you would still have to transfer it over to another computer ... this is a comically pointless thread

Here in Belgium we have something stupid called "download limit" (12 gigs a month)
Schools don't have that so it would be nice if i could download it on my school's network

(and why always those stupid "why would you do that?"- questions? Does that matter?)
I already have it but I was just wondering

I see. Well, that really sucks. Maybe you could have someone download it and mail it to you? Even if Safari allowed it, I think it would simply take too long to dwnload such a large file on your iPod.

I also just realized that the iPod wouldn't even have enough battery power to download the entire file!

Add iso file type to the enabled plist in the safari download plugin.

When I try that it doesn't work, oh, and downloading 700 mb takes about 50 minutes so it isn't that long

Ubuntu was just an example, it would just be great to use my touch to download big files in my school.

    EDIT: enabled.plist? I only edited info.plist, i'll give it a try

EDIT2: Still doesn't work : "safari can't open the page because it's too large"
