I'm really sorry if this is somewhere on the forums, but I can't seem to find it.

Always when I download firmware, it appears as a folder and not an .ipsw file. I have tried adding the '.ipsw' extension but it still appears as a folder.

Is there something I can do because otherwise I will not be able to use the Pwnage software? Thanks.

Just look in the Trash can. It may be in there as a Zip File. Just remove the .ZIP extension and you should be fine.

Compress it. Then rename give it the .ipws extension.

Exactly. Compress and rename. To prevent this open Safari preferences and uncheck "Open 'safe' files after downloading."
