I just downloaded a book app as well as the game Asphalt4. Both show up on my touch screen, but when I touch the icon to start either app, on the book, it shows the title screen and then goes back to my home/menu screen. With Asphalt 4, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then also reverts back to my home/menu screen. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? It's my first time loading apps.

    Thanks!

Wow, brand new device, surprises me that I would have to do a restore so soon. I appreciate the response, I'll try the uninstall first. Hope that does it.

    ummm...

I deleted the apps from the touch, they still show in my iTunes account, but when I tell it to sync, it's not pushing them to the phone, keeps saying the sync is up to date. My worry is, if I do a reset (and not sure yet how to do that...), where is all my music? Still in the iTunes account I would assume?

i would try restore, it wont mess with you library or anything, just restore form original, i wouldnt do it from a back up, but yeah, i had a similar issue, sometimes stuff just messes up, restoring sounds bad but its totally a minimal action, restore and sync, thats all

    resetting

It's taking a while...but I'm in the process of doing the restore. My laptop is connected via my cell phone as a modem, so that could be slowing it down. Just says it's downloading the software and will restore when it finishes. Tap tap tap...

I was having that same problem... so i did the following....

    1.) settings> general> reset> erase all contents and settings
2.) Sync applications to ipod (after this the apps should work)
3.) Go back and sync music

    hope this work

This is two years old. If their problem isn't solved, I imagine they don't care anymore.
