Is there a way to downgrade the 2nd Gen iPod Touch so that it can be jailbroken?

I'm sorry, I've got no idea what section to post this in

You don't have root filesystem access anymore, so you can't change things on the iPod. It's there to stop a cheapskate who can afford a $200 iPod from not paying $0.99 or $2.99 for a program that isn't jailbroken.
